Now based in Tete Jaune BC, I specialize in instructional courses and guided rock climbs. I can take you on a mountain guided trip in many areas of Alberta and British Columbia, or join me on a daily adventure trip for all skill levels. I have also planned some exciting upcoming summer mountaineering trips, and again am offering the very popular alpine rock course, a great two day adventure.
All of the guides that work with me are certified by the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG). We specialize in the Jasper and surrounding area where there are decades of local knowledge amongst us !
Background Peter has worked as a Mountain Guide in many ranges throughout western Canada. He routinely works in many of the camps for the Alpine Club of Canada, including 25 years in the General Mountaineering camps. He also works with training the Canadian Military's Search and Rescue Technicians, worked as the Avalanche Forecaster at Marmot Basin for 18 years, and Lead Guide for Robson Helimagic for 6 seasons.
Peter also works as an instructor and examiner on the ACMG Hiking guide program and works on the Mountain and Hiking Program for Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops.
Peter has taught both Rock and Mountaineering courses for 35+ years and has guided many private ski touring and climbing parties.

In the winters Peter can be found either skiing, teaching, driving, analysing snowpacks or doing avalanche control work in the mountains of Alberta and BC.
Peter is a fully certified Mountain Guide and member of the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG). He is also a member of the International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations (IFMGA), and a professional member of the Canadian Avalanche Association.
